20 marks Due to some unavoidable circumstances, I have to cancel today's (June 4) Final exam will be held in CLH J on June 20 (Friday). Exam will start at
7:00 p.m. It will be a 3-hour exam. You can use a non-programmable calculator
during the exam. This exam will based on all of the materials covered in the
course. All of the materials will get more or less equal weight in the final
exam. Here is the list of the materials I covered in this course: 1. Ch 12, 13, Appendix to Ch 13, 14, 15, Appendix to Ch 15, 16, 17, Appendix
1 & 2 to Ch17 of Krugman's text (7th ed. or 8th ed) 2. Ch 18 (Pages 518 to 528 only) of Krugman's text (8th ed.) or Ch 18 (Pages
502 to 512 only) of Krugman's text (7th ed.) 3. Ch 19 (Pages 532 to 551only) of Krugman's text (8th ed.) or Ch 19 (Pages
516 to 533 only) of Krugman's text (7th ed.) 4. Appendix to Ch 19 of Krugman's text (7th ed. or 8th ed) Additional Materials: 1. IS-LM Model : Appendix I to Ch 16 of Krugman's text (6th ed.) 2. Monetary Approach to BOP: Appendix II to Ch 17 of Krugman's text (6th ed.) I distributed these additional materials in class. If you have not received
these materials, please send me an e-mail. Exclusions: Final exam will not cover Appendix 1 & 2 to Ch 16 of Krugman's text (7th ed.
or 8th ed). To prepare for the exam, you
should first work out all of the optional assignments which are posted
on this website. You should also read the textbook very carefully and go though
the lectures slides posted on the website and study the lecture notes which you
took during class. Final exam will have the following three parts:
Part A : 40 Multiple Choice Questions 40*1 = 40 marks
Part B: 2 out of 3 True/False/Uncertain with explanation or Short questions
15*2 = 30 Marks
Part C: 2 multi-part problem solving / analytical questions
