Annäig Morin, "Workplace Heterogeneity and Wage Inequality in Denmark," Journal of Applied Econometrics, Vol. 38, No. 1, 2023, pp. 123-133. The data used in this paper are the property of the Danish statistical office, Danmarks Statistik, who do not permit open access; hence the data are confidential. The analysis in the paper uses several registers: BEF, FIDF, IDAN, IDAS, and UDDA. These five registers are merged and the time frame is 1982-2007. The variable "lbnr" is used to identify establishments, and the variable "pnr_num" is used to identify workers. The wage variable used in the paper is the variable called "timelon", which is a measure of hourly wages. The cleaning of the data is performed according to the description in the data section. The size of the final sample is stated at the end of Section 2.
