This dataset covers the period 1875 to 2016 for the following countries: Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, the UK, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the US. The included variables are: 1/ dlnC_RAW : real consumption growth (unadjusted data) 2/ dlnY_RAW : real GDP growth (unadjusted data) 3/ dlnC_NOME : real consumption growth (measurement error removed) 4/ dlnY_NOME : real GDP growth (measurement error removed)) 5/ POP : population (used to calculate population-weighted growth rates) 6/ RGDPPC_PPP : PPP-adjusted real GDP (used to calculate GDP-weighted growth rates) 7/ TO : trade openness (nominal exports plus nominal imports divided by nominal GDP) 8/ FO : financial openness (de jure indicator of capital mobility) Missing data are indicated with "nan".
