Pablo Cuba-Borda, Luca Guerrieri, Matteo Iacoviello, and Molin Zhong, "Likelihood Evaluation of DSGE Models with Occasionally Binding Constraints", Journal of Applied Econometrics, Vol. 34, No. 7, 2019, pp. 1073-1085. All program files and data are zipped in the file CGIZ-programs.zip. All the programs are written using MATLAB R2016a and MATLAB-MEX functions. We make use of the following MATLAB toolboxes: Dynare, available at: https://www.dynare.org OccBin, available at https://www2.bc.edu/matteo-iacoviello/research.htm Structure of the folder ------------------------- The replication files are organized in seven subdirectories with specific instructions in each of them: 1. InversionFilter, approximates the likelihood using the inversion filter for the VFI and OccBin solution 2. ParticleFilter, approximates the likelihood using the bootrstrap particle filter for VFI and OccBin solutions and different specifications of measurement error 3. Figure1, replicates the policy functions show in Figure 1 and provides sample codes to solve the model using OccBin 4. Figure2, replicates the likelihood cuts in Figure 2 5. Figure3, replicates the policy functions show in Figure 3 and provides sample codes to solve the model using VFI 6. Table1, replicates the results for T=100 in Table 1 7. _toolkit, code from the OccBin solution toolkit described in "OccBin: A Toolkit to Solve Models with Occasionally Binding Constraints Easily," Journal of Monetary Economics, vol. 70. Instructions ------------ Each subdirectory contains all needed programs and data. All the main codes to be executed start with the name "run_". Each subfolder contains specific instructions inside a Readme.txt. Note from the Data Archive Maintainer: All files are ASCII (text) files. Because CGIZ-programs.zip contains a very large number of files, I did not attempt to put them all into a standard format. Some of the text files are in DOS format (with CR/LF) and some are in Unix format (with LF only). Users whose software cares about this may have to change the format of some files.
