Department Head, James MacKinnon presenting award to medalist winner David Schraven for the Chancellor C.A. Dunning Prize in Economics. David also received The Prince of Wales Prize and the Governor General's Academic medal.




David was also the recipient of the James Bocking Prize which is being presented by
Bev Lapham.




James Fenske received the Chancellor C.A. Dunning Prize for best thesis, "Land Rights and Rural-Urban Migration in Developing Countries", supervisor: Huw Lloyd-Ellis.

Trisha Casey-Purvis presents Adam Birkin with the Douglas D. Purvis Prize in Economics. This prize is awarded to the graduating student who has written the best fourth-year seminar paper in Economics. Adam's paper is entitled "Made in Canada An Analysis of Canadian Monetary Policy between 1986-1999".




Professor Frank Lewis presents The Gowan Foundation No. 1 Prize to James Reid for the best 300-level course paper. James also received The Frank Knox Prize for the highest grade in Economics 331 or 332 and Honourary Mention for outstanding achievement in economics.




Professor Allen Head congratulates Jamie Becker who also received Honourary Mention for his outstanding achievement in economics.
